Longtail trolls are gentle and companionable creatures. Herman is too, if one looks beyond his being a little short-tempered. It doesn’t take much before the words start to echo off the walls of the tree stump where Herman lives, and the other trolls often have a good laugh about all of the strange expressions he uses when he loses his temper. Herman works as an explosives expert on the mountain where the trolls mine their gold. For his magical ability is of a piece with his personality: he can blow up objects into little pieces. |
