The Urknatten family consists of the Pappa troll Runar, the Mamma troll Gyda and the children – Helga and Brynjar. This family come from a long, venerable race of stonemasons. Runar has the ability to get stones to move and talk, a skill he uses in order to scare people away when they come too close to the mountain where he works. Gyda makes small decorative pieces of stone jewellery that she sells at the troll market – the small human figures she makes in all shapes and sizes are especially popular. Helga and Brynjar are lucky enough to have x-ray vision. When they want to they can see right through trees and mountains, which will be very useful when they become stonemasons. |
