Dear Longtail News Subscriber!
Christmas is almost here, and I hope that you have had time to make it really pleasant around yourself. I know that we have different traditions from the different countries we live in, and here in Norway we give the house a thorough clean-down, bakes a lot of cookies, and decorates all over the house with Santa's in different sizes before Christmas. At Christmas Ewe we meet the family, have a good dinner and coffee with cookies, and give each other Christmas presents.
Here in the north it's almost no daylight at this time of the year (north in Norway it's dark all day and night), so we use a lot of candles, usually red candles, to make this dark time of the year to a lightening week in the middle of the winter. And of course we are all dreaming of a white Christmas.
In Trollhufsa Village they also have their Christmas traditions. You can read more about it in this touching short story:
I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year
Best regards
Marit
